Students of martial arts learn the importance of restraint and cooperation without sacrificing their independence. At the same time they obviously have a great deal of fun.

Martial arts training has been terrific for Skajler. As is evident from the photos, trainees learn to take it as well as to dish it out.

Thanks to instructors Robert Bessler, Stephanie Butz and the many volunteer coaches from the adult Ninjutsu classes.

Skajler remembers his old Ninjutsu class fondly but has since moved on, taking up Tae Kwon Do instead at Borgess Health and Fitness Center where his school friend Daniel also practices. LINK

Camera

These are the very first photos taken with a brand new Minolta DiMAGE Xt camera. It is 3.2 megapixels and the tiniest one available. It is so light that, as you can see, I need a bit of practice to hold it absolutely still. But all in all I am pretty happy with it.
