Where I work we need to compensate certain data against the current absolute barometric pressure. The nearby airport reports this regularly, but gives the sea-level equivalent not compensated for geographic elevation.
Suppose you need to know the current barometric pressure, compensated to absolute for your elevation. This script will provide it for you. It displays the readings in a GUI and also records to a file.
Remember to edit the extension from *.txt
to *.pl
after downloading a Perl script. The *.txt
extension is necessary to insure that the web server will present these files to you as plain ASCII when you click their download buttons.
